Howard Tanenbaum began his career in travel in 1990, founding a consultancy agency that provided agency training and leading new agent acquisition to other organizations. He moved over to GEM in 1998, before joining Club Med in 1999 where he had an impressive 12-year stint. Tanenbaum worked his way up to Vice President Sales – Executive Committee there, and then left to become president of Expedia CruiseShipCenters, OVC in 2012. His leadership moved the franchise into top 4 for all of North America. He finished out his impressive career as Senior Vice President of Sales at Playa Hotels & Resorts from 2014-2022. In 2022 he was honored as a Travvy Awards Hall of Fame inductee.
